Enjoying fine wines is a hobby many people all over the world indulge in. Wine lovers everywhere
attend wine tasting events and practice the culture of wine drinking throughout their daily lives.
There are many reasons people love wine and there are many types of wine to love. There are two
main varieties of wine types derived from the two different grapes: red wine grapes and white wine
grapes. There are many subtypes of these two different varieties of wine. White wines include
Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon blanc. Red wines include wines such as
Zinfandel, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Sangiovese.

White wine grapes include a variety, one of them being Riesling. Riesling should be fresh and light
in color. Riesling grapes give off aromas of fresh apples. Gewürztraminer is another type of wine
grape that is very aromatic with aromas of fruit and flowers, and is great for sipping. Chardonnay
is very popular and can be made sparkling or still. Chardonnay wines offer citrus flavors, goes
great with fish and chicken meals, and originated in France. Sauvignon blanc is a type of white
wine grape that goes great with seafood and salads. Sauvignon blanc is generally lighter than
Chardonnay with tastes ranging from sour green fruits to tropical fruits. There are many other
great white wine grapes available, but these are the most popular of their type. Another type of
wine grape includes those of red wine grapes.

Red wine grapes also include a variety, with one of them being Zinfandel. Zinfandel is only found
in California and tastes like berries with a hint of pepper. Another red wine grape is Shiraz, or
Syrah, and goes great with meats. Shiraz is made of wild black fruit. Merlot is another red wine
grape that is very easy to consume. Merlot has a softness about it that makes it great for
beginning wine drinkers. Cabernet sauvignon is another red wine and is accepted as one of the
world’s best wines. Cabernet sauvignon goes best with simple meals consisting of red meats. Pinot
Noir is another popular type of red wine that is referred to as noble and goes great with grilled
white meats such as chicken and fish. Pinot Noir is delicate and fresh with fruity aromas.
Sangiovese is another red wine that goes well with Italian dishes and tastes of fresh berries.

There are many different types of red and white wines, but I have only included some of the more
known types. Wine tasting is a very enjoyable experience that offers a sense of culture and
relaxation. Wine tasting is a great opportunity to fully live your life and have interest in
something that you believe is worth it. Wine tasting is very popular for wine lovers all across the
world and many great wines can be found in many different places. Depending on the grape and the
vineyard, it’s not a difficult task to find some great wine. Wine lovers everywhere enjoy the time
they spend getting to know their favorite wines.
